Who Has Two Thumbs and Wants to Wait Two Hours for Diabetes?

The Panera Bread Company buyout this morning simply reinforces the notion that the restaurant space is worthy of newfound attention in the early spring months.

The Cheesecake Factory, for example, may be ripe to follow suit even if no imminent buyout looms. But from a technical standpoint, the weekly chart, below, shows CAKE may be tired of waiting for hours to get seated at its restaurants and is ready to sit down to a flour and sugar-laden meal.

In other words, the chart looks an awful lot like PNRA's did before the latter's recent rally and subsequent buyout.

Other restaurants are in focus, too, such as BLMN, the owner of Outback, not to mention a few hidden gems we are noting for Members

In sum, the combination of M&A plus improving price action is a potent one for the restaurant space, therefore commanding our attention.
