A God Complex in a Non-Human World

Alec Baldwin's famous "God Complex" speech in Malice (1993), an otherwise forgettable film, has survived the test of time as it is still periodically referenced.

When it comes to leading a surgical team during operations, however, we know the changing medical landscape has rendered that speech partially obsolete. Of course, that is open to interpretation. But with the rise in robotic procedures in order to eliminate human error as much as possible, a firm like Intuitive Surgical (ISRG) has been a hot stock for a while now.

Along those lines, a more speculative play garnering attention of late has been Mazor Robotics, a small cap, Israeli firm with plenty of room to go to improve its profitability.

Still, with a specialization in spine surgery one can only imagine the potential procedures to improve the lives of patients with all types of injuries and loss of movement.

On the MZOR daily chart, below, we see a bullish triangle forming in a clear uptrend. A move over $51.50 now should set in motion a fresh leg higher. Earnings are not scheduled until early-November, which ought to give us enough time to see whether there is more gas in the tank left for a name which has been a momentum winner for nearly two years now.
