D-Day By the Numbers

Today is June 6th, marking the 71st anniversary of the Allied D-Day invasion of Normandy. The world's largest amphibious assault enabled the Allies to gain a foothold in France and on the European continent, which led to the eventual victory in 1945 after bloody battles inland and a harsh winter.
