The Biotechnology Sector is Just Like the "Sons of Anarchy" Television Series
Initially, in the first few innings/seasons, there is a ton of promise, big growth opportunities, lots of exciting storylines and bright futures against a rugged backdrop.
As the stories and rallies progress, tons of new breakout stars get into the mix, as well as some old-time famous cameos.
And then, thorough no fault of its own, the success becomes too much too soon--It becomes exploitation and trashy, as absurd storylines show no real earnings or plot development, nor character growth. You have Boyd Crowder, Peter Weller, Jimmy Smits, and Marilyn Manson (!) doing and saying ridiculous things, while biotechs with no earnings, nor any proven drugs skyrocketing in share price.
We are long BIS (ultra-short) from $28.51 yesterday, scaling some partial gains earlier. And as long as XBI, for example, stays under $245, the crow doesn't fly straight.
