Shaking Off the SLoB

Headed into the final hour of this trading week, crude oil and most energy stocks seems to be shaking off the post-earnings sell-off in OIH and XLE heavyweight Schlumberger (or "Slob," as per its SLB ticker symbol).

Much like our earlier WYNN analysis, perhaps headed into next week that may mean energy bears are out of juice, short-term.

Of course, there is always the possibility for energy and the likes of WYNN to simply go dead, meaning they simply stop going down but do not necessarily begin a new bull run anytime soon.

That said, the SPY did bounce with USO after the NYMEX close earlier, overpowering the small cap weakness we saw throughout the session.

Going forward, I am looking to see if SLoB can hold its 20-day moving average on this sell-off, the orange line on the daily chart, below, currently at $72.86 and rising.
