Baby Driver (2017) is the epitome of an entertaining, summer "popcorn movie."
The film has been met with plenty of rave reviews for its creativity. And while I do indeed agree that writer/director Edgar Wright is worth his salt, I am not yet inclined to declare this to be one a candidate for Best Picture.
That said, Hollywood will take what it can get it at this point in terms of summer blockbusters. This film, ironically in this day and age, is probably worth seeing in a theater for its action-packed scenes in lieu of waiting for Netflix or Amazon releases. You can tell that the high profile stars like Kevin Space Jon Hamm, and Jamie Foxx wanted to have some summer fun doing this film.
