From FANG to FANG

Much like in the movie, Wolf (1994), other parts of the market may now start to develop their own FANGs, beyond the FB AMZN NFLX GOOG(L) quarter composing the rather ubiquitous FANG acronym. 

Indeed, even with crude oil down 2% today, for example, the energy exploration firms in the XOP ETF, typically a high beta derivative of oil, is actually higher and sporting an enticing daily chart candlestick, seen below. 

It also caught my eye that the XOP is actually higher today than the QQQ despite, again, oil being down. 

Here's to seeing whether the energy stocks can look at good with their own FANG (ticker symbol for Diamondback Energy) as Michelle Pfeiffer looked with fangs at the end of Wolf.
