Serious Business for Recreational Vehicles

The recreational vehicle niche within the broad discretionary sector is perhaps as much of a microcosm for the consumer as any group of stocks.

In previous blog posts here and for Members, we have flagged and played names in the complex, including PII CWH THO WGO, even LCII.

HOG, the iconic Harley-Davidson brand, has been the glaring laggard in the group as millennials eschew motorcycles. But now even Harley is playing catch-up to the group, with the name zooming towards its 200-day simple moving average above price.

As far as actionable ideas right here, right now, it is worth noting that the RV play, Camping World, has been digesting its recent strength rather well.

On the CWH daily chart, updated below, note the fairly tight bull flag under $47. If CWH can make a push back up to that level I would look for a fresh long entry.

Elsewhere, some tech plays continue to lag, with NVDA still correcting. We continue to track sector rotations instead, such as the RV group.

Finally, keep an eye on BC (Brunswick) as another catch-up play in RVs, as they focus on recreational boating.
