Sunday Matinée at Market Chess Cinemas

Currently available on Amazon Prime, I am going to re-recommend a gripping thriller which seems to have been forgotten about over time: Marathon Man (1976), starring the impressive acting trio of  Dustin Hoffman, Laurence Olivier, and Roy Scheider.

Written by the late, great William Goldman, and directed by John Schlesinger, the film hooks you in right from the opening scene and does not loosen its grip, making for a fun and intensely dark thriller which captures part of the general malaise of the 1970s, to boot.
