March Madness Plays

With the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament already underway with the play-in games the last two nights, the traditional tournament games tip off this afternoon.
Unlike the Super Bowl, the NCAA tourney's television ratings are not quite as strong as you think. The games are scattered and so is the viewership, especially in this day and age of streaming capabilities. That said, March Madness is still March Madness, and plenty of brackets, office pools, and general wagering is taking place as we speak.
Before we offer a few picks for fun, let us turn to the more serious business of stocks.
Some grab-and-go fast-casual dining seems like the most logical ideas which come to mind during March Madness.
CMG has been a monster winner but is a tad extended to buy here. WING is flagging nicely after its recent pop.
But I think Shake Shake may be the most actionable right here, right now. SHAK remains heavily-shorted and seems ripe for a squeeze over its 200-day moving average, seen just above spot price on the daily chart, below. On a long-term basis, SHAK is still giving the look of a multi-year base bottom breakout.
As for basketball, I like a few picks in particular: The OVER in the LSU vs. Yale game. I like New Mexico State with the points versus Auburn. I like Saint Mary's to upset Villanova outright. And I like Abilene Christian with the points versus Kentucky.
