Not Funny, Haha: Funny, Bullish!

Last February I made the bullish case here for Lamb Weston, which produces frozen potatoes you find in supermarkets. 

With LW right near multi-year highs this morning, the long-term quarterly chart, below, indicates one of the better actors in the consumer staples complex at a time when consumers continue to battle both inflation and a slowing economy. 

Thus, as one of our Members reminded me this morning, after earnings we have an intriguing idea for those looking at defensive names which should benefit from consumers "trading down" at the grocery store. 

As for the market at-large, we look to be knocking out a wide range into the jobs report tomorrow morning. I am still looking for energy names to outperform.
