A Rising Star in the Coffee Game

Although they are not publicly-traded and I do not have any business affiliation with them at all, I would be remiss not to note that Rook Coffee Roasters is a rising star in the coffee shop world. 

Rook Coffee currently has several locations along New Jersey's "Shore Points," near the beach in central Jersey. What makes their business model so explosive is the very high-end quality of their coffee, with beans from Ethiopia, Bali, Guatemala, Honduras, and more (I had Turkish coffee there this morning), as well as their famous cold brew concentrate (fresh medium roasted coffee with filtered water). In addition, their customer service and unique store layout invites a much better customer experience than, say, DNKN or SBUX.

Unlike DNKN SBUX, Rook Coffee is not the type of place with the space for you to hang out at for long periods of time. But I suspect the quality of their coffee and speed of customer service will bolster their sales and growth in due time.

I am on the lookout for them to expand to northern New Jersey and New York City, and eventually elsewhere.
