An Electric Rally Into Tesla Motors Earnings
Beaten-down and especially heavily-shorted names continue to squeeze higher, along with the likes of AAPL and GE.
Headed into TSLA earnings after the bell, we should gauge from the market's reaction whether the Nasdaq is ripe to imminently blow-off higher for a parabolic move, or instead if the QQQ and XLY (consumer discretionary) break steep trends from October and pull in.
In addition, the small caps in the Russell 2000 Index ETF, below on the 15-minute chart, look to be close to resolving the rising wedge highlighted in recent sessions.
Here, again, we have some pretty good context off of which to key, in terms of if the market goes parabolic or goes home.
At the moment, though, I am a bit more focused on inter-market trades, namely Treasuries and the Euro.
