Saturday Night at Market Chess Cinemas

Lone Star (1996), written and directed by the great John Sayles, is both a quality, gritty drama/mystery, as well as being a worthwhile look at some border issues which are becoming more and more relevant in the current political cycle.

The film is loaded with talent, starring  Chris Cooper, Elizabeth Peña, Stephen Mendillo, Kris Kristofferson, and a younger Matthew McConaughey.

Lone Star is always one which comes to mind in terms of underrated and under-watched films. Check it out.
