Hang 'em High, Hang 'em Low
Stocks are still drifting into the ECB tomorrow, with less feeling like more in general, in terms of price action and setups.
The XBI, ETF for the small/mid-cap biotechnology issues, illustrates what is happening with many charts here--The 50-day moving average acted as resistance earlier this week. But now the 20-day moving average is being supported by buyers. And thus the stalemate.
As for biotech as a whole, the AMGN weakness looks to have pressured the IBB all day, with GILD REGN pushing session lows as I write this.
The miners are impressive, though. And if they can keep up the resilience after Draghi tomorrow there may be another trade in there before the Fed next week.
More in my recap after the bell.
