Boxing and Trading
As the world mourns the death of heavyweight boxing champ and prominent global figure, Muhammad Ali, it is worth drawing a few parallels between boxing and trading.
The focus on footwork, even though it feels unnatural and seeming odd, in boxing, is not unlike the trading concept of cutting losers and adding to winners, even though that seems unnatural, too. Speed and discipline, a willingness to back away only to attack again, are other similarities.
Clint Eastwood’s, Million Dollar Baby (2004), has several scenes noting these types of concepts.
