We All Have Homework This Weekend
It may a sunny, hot summer Friday on the east coast, but as a trader you should not let that completely consumer your weekend. The reason for that is due to the price action of this market, with an increasing number of chart flagging out and basing well in uptrends. Equally impressive is that it is happening with NFLX getting smacked after earnings, crude oil sluggish (not that there is always a tight correlation there) as well as potentially negative headlines.
To be sure, bears will argue that in and of itself can often precede a pullback, for when things look too good to be true that is when the market can pull the rug out fro, underneath.
But in the event we continue to extend the breakout to new highs on the S&P and Dow it would behoove all of us to put in the work to identify a focused and cogent group of stocks sporting the most attractive charts, all the while being mindful of earnings season upon us.
Software plays continue to thrive, as are communications equipment stocks. But there are plenty more sectors to stalk vigilantly.
There is no better place to get your homework done this weekend than inside Market Chess Subscription Services, where will we cover the latest actionable ideas in my Weekend Video Strategy Session.
Enjoy the weather and your weekend. But Mr. Market looks to have assigned us some weekend work, too.
