Chickens Coming Home to Roost for Turkey Day
As attractive as some energy and materials stocks have looked, and as strongly as some have been acting, the U.S. Dollar ETF's monthly timeframe, below, is a lingering threat becoming more serious by the way as rates inch higher along with the greenback.
The higher this chart goes, the havoc it potentially can wreak on a variety of markets.
It is still tough to get too bearish on equities as a whole, though, with the VIX ETFs, for example, making fresh lows today and the indices quietly grinding up near all-time highs.
But with respect so certain markets, the Dollar breaking out of a multi-year channel is something to continue to monitor going forward.
