Here Come the Aggies
With the slightest hint at the U.S. Dollar backing off overbought conditions, plenty of commodities and commodity-related stocks seem to be enjoying themselves this morning to kick off the holiday week.
The broad theme of the market lately has been one of rotation. And the same concept holds true within the commodity space. Specifically, the ags, fertilizers, and basic materials stock seem to be in position to either rally or crumble at this point, given their laggard status for a good while now.
Put another way, if the ags in the XLB sector ETF cannot muster a rally now, then they likely will not be able to for a good while, given how the starts are aligning now after they have been a notable market sore spot for quarters on end.
Thus, the likes of AGU CF MOS POT are off to a good start here. Of course, we full well acknowledge that DE and SQM report earnings on Wednesday, after which we may know with more certainty whether this rally is something beyond a brief rotation party.
But until then, the aggies can certainly have some fun.
