That Movie Where Schillinger Plays a Pregnant Teen's Father

On the back of some positive news from Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ALNY) this morning, plenty of mid-cap biotechnology stocks are making some noise in front of the FOMC later today.

Clearly, quite a few names in the XBI (ETF for small and mid-cap bios) have been impressive insofar as not giving back much of recent rallies. And the prospect of a resuming those rallies ought to be enticing for new swing longs.

Some of the gene editing plays like EDIT NTLA remain enticing, albeit inherently more speculative than normal.

And then we have an immunotherapy play like JUNO, updated below on the daily timeframe.

We have looked at JUNO before, which is sporting a chart not unlike that of Bluebird Bio, incidentally.

With a high, tight "base over base" bullish pattern highlighted, I am looking at this segment of the market for a long provided that we see a reasonably bullish reaction to the likely Fed fireworks later today.
