Saturday Night at Market Chess Cinemas
After the first truly rocky week in the market in a good while, I am sure many will appreciate a classic, all-American comedy starring Rodney Dangerfield.
Back to School (1986) also features many familiar faces, such as Burt Young, Ned Beatty, Sam Kinison, and Robert Downey, Jr..
The plot centers around an uneducated, self-made millionaire (Dangerfield) who encourages his indecisive son about whether to go to college by signing up alongside him as his classmate.
Let's be honest, though: Films like this are not so much about the plot as they are whether they can make you laugh out loud in the old-fashioned sense, rather than the new age, trivial, texting lingo version of laughing.
And Back to School delivers the goods in spades, with classic Dangerfield humor and memorable scenes.
Watch it on a cold winter night, with a suddenly-turbulent market, to lighten up.
