Can You Become an International Harvester?
As I write this the Dow is up more than 150 points while the QQQ is back in the red. Indeed, if tech continues along this corrective summer path bulls will, almost by definition, need to keep sustaining sector rotations in order to prevent a full-blown market correction ("not that there's anything wrong with that," to paraphrase Jerry Seinfeld).
So while tech remains suspect as a group in the near-term, we are keeping a close eye on solars, biotechs, and other rotation sectors like most other traders have been.
But we also want to put in the work to ferret out some more subtle rotation beneficiaries. In fact, that was the theme of our longer video for Members yesterday. Last Thursday, for example, I posted a chart of the wheat ETN (WEAT) on social media. And as the ags follow on through higher into the beginning of this holiday week, we have our eyes and ears peeled to some ag-related stocks which could easily benefit from the sudden burst in the soft commodity complex.
Seeing the QQQ lag in such a glaring manner may very well put many tech-minded traders to the test this summer. On the one hand, bulls can prevent that correction across the board with rotation. On the other hand, will you be flexible enough to become, say, an international harvester?
