I am a Nuclear Landman

Natural gas and nuclear are red-hot not just today but also of late, overall.

We have been focused on these two groups, both the commodity and underlying stocks, with Members. And now we have the nuclear reactor plays flashing strong signs of staging fresh legs higher, be it GEV NNE OKLO SMR, just to name a few. Meanwhile, natural gas is benefitting from the nationwide arctic cold air blast, among reasons.

With this in mind, I am on the lookout for the uranium miners to wake up. Seeing as the nuclear reactor names have stolen the show in recent months, it stands to reason that the uranium miners have some catching up to do.

CCJ, below on the daily chart, is out in front of its peers today. You can see the stocks fighting to recapture its 50-day moving average (dark blue line). It should be bullish for the peer group if this name, one of the larger and more liquid uranium miners, can hold above it.

As for the market at-large we still have bulls jamming the Nasdaq higher. Even with some relative laggards today like NFLX PLTR TSLA (all red or flat here), and even with higher rates on the long end of the curve bulls remain undeterred. The December 26th highs on the Nasdaq seem like the spot to see if overhead resistance comes into play, as we are almost there now.
